Cricket Blast Platinum Sponsor

Woolworths Cricket Blast

The Woolworths Cricket Blast program commences in October and runs until December before breaking up for the school holidays. The program resumes for three weeks in February the following year after school returns, before concluding for the season.

POP-UP PROGRAM FOR FRIENDS & NEWCOMERS

A pop-up program for any friends & newcomers usually runs for the last three sessions and will give kids a chance to "have a go".  The participation fee is reduced and includes a kit comprising a bag, water bottle and ball.  The fee covers Cricket Victoria's insurance costs as well as participation.

GROUND ACCESS

The Grand Prix infrastructure usually takes shape in the park from January each year.  Access from Aughtie Drive will be closed at some stage so the only club access will be on foot via the crossover from the Fraser Street light rail stop.

Registrations will open in September 2024

GIRLS ONLY GROUP this season. We are planning to offer a “Girls Only Group” this season if there is sufficient interest. Please register using the link provided and nominate whether you would like to be in this group.

All sessions are held from 9.00am to 10.30 am on Saturday at and near the Lindsay Hassett Oval (Oval 11), Aughtie Drive, Albert Park - at the Clarke Shields Pavilion. It’s right near the Fraser Street light rail stop. We have a COVID-safe plan in accordance with Victorian Government guidelines.

In addition, we’re offering our young Cricket Blasters the chance to participate in Woolworths Anywhere Cricket. This is a free online program of 6 x 20 minute interactive skills sessions presented by Peter Siddle and Holly Ferling, which you can participate in from the comfort of your own home.

This is the perfect way for young cricketers to start their cricket journey before transitioning into the face-to-face format or brushing up on some of the technicalities, while having a lot of fun!
