 U15 coach Rob Pool fires up the team South Districts 2008 U15s played out of their skins at the Grand Final to go down by just 2 points in a thriller at Centenary Park. Ladder leaders Highett found themselves under unaccustomed pressure all day, with the lead changing regularly throughout the game. South clawed back two late goals and was charging forward when the siren sounded. It was a classic grand final, and played in good spirit by all. Our heartiest congratulations to the players and the coaching panel. You can stand tall knowing you gave it your best. The whole club is proud of you!
 The “District’s” U13 team succeeded in winning the MSJFL U13 West Premiership against Beaumaris. Between the team playing their hearts out, the coaching of Brendan Maloney (the multiple Premiership winning coach), the super support team of Pat Kerin, Martin Cutter, David Regan and Peter Holmes, and the loudly enthusiastic parents and “District’s” supporters, the U13’s won in convincing form by 32 points! |
