  What a cricket season we have in store!!nets4

Building on the success of last year, we plan to further develop the initiatives we introduced last year. These include;
• Technical Coaches at Under 14s and 12s levels assisting players improve their techniques at training sessions
• amongst the best net facilities in town at our Oval 11 ground (across the Oval from our club rooms at the Clarke Shields Pavilion)
• strong alliances with Middle Park Cricket Club and other senior cricket clubs that offer our older players (U14s and U16s) opportunities to play on turf and attain various Representative levels. This is about pathways for all players into senior cricket (16 years and above)
• exclusive member use (nominal hire) of an Indoor net and State of the Art Bowling machine – all South Melbourne cricketers are entitled to this facility so long as their parent is accredited to use the Bowling Machine
• encouragement for players from U12s upwards to maintain the strong tradition of Representative cricket with the CMCA and other development pathways

Most importantly, we want to continue to attract and foster the most supportive parents and, of course, we want the most team oriented players and friends to share our fun and excitement.

Have a great season and do not hesitate to contact either Bryce or myself if we can help you in anyway.
