Our valiant U12B Team gives it a “red hot go” in its Preliminary Final

Our Under 12B Team concludes a brilliant season full of smiles.
Our Under 12B Team stormed through their Semi Final last weekend to play Brighton District in the Preliminary Final this weekend. At stake was the opportunity to make it into their Grand Final.
After giving it their very best, our boys were pipped on the line as they tried to chase down a challenging total. There were some outstanding performances on show, none more than the collective ability of the boys to organise themselves (as you have to in Finals), follow team plans and deliver a team effort.
What a talented group of cricketers and how proud we are of them at South Melbourne Districts. They have had a super season and promise so much more in the future.
Well done boys and congratulations to John Meckiff, the Team Coach and all parents who supported the boys throughout in the true spirit of cricket.
3 of our cricket Teams make it into their Grand Finals; also, our U12B team crashes through and progresses in its Finals campaign
Our Twilight U16A, U14A and U14B teams have stormed their way into their respective Grand Finals that will take place over the next two Friday evenings. (March 12 and 19). All teams performed brilliantly to reach their dates with destiny! It doesn’t get any more exciting than this.
Our Under 12B team has just started its campaign this weekend with a nail biting win which takes it into its Preliminary Final next Saturday and Sunday and a tilt at its divisional Grand Final the following weekend.
This provides our Junior Cricket Club with its best chance of winning its first Premiership Flag in its junior cricket history. Good luck to all players, coaches and supportive parents. We are mighty proud of your efforts.
