Louis Raymond awarded the Club’s highest cricket honour: the John Scholes Medal

« A delighted Louis Raymond receives this cricket season’s John Scholes Medal
Louis Raymond, Captain of the classy Under 14A Team has been awarded the highest cricket honour at the Club, The John Scholes Medal. It is the Junior Cricket Club’s only perpetual trophy having been initiated by Brendan O’Sullivan four season’s ago. It goes to the best performed U16 or U14 Finals player.
Louis, a most worthy recipient, was awarded the Medal for his outstandingly gritty performance in his team’s semi final against Beaumaris, the eventual grade winners. He captained the team, he led from the front with an unbeaten 50 to help set up a target and he encouraged his players to battle it out to the end. John Scholes would have been proud of him.
Congratulations Louis and well deserved.

Our brilliant U12B and U12D teams chase down opponents and
make it to the Preliminary Finals

Our excited U12 B Team know that the hard work is ahead…..but are deservedly pleased as punch!
Our U12B and U12D teams faced almost identical battles this Sunday to win through to their grades’ Preliminary Finals They had to chase down 170 and 176 respectively which was a formidable task. Level heads prevailed and they both managed it in a measured and convincing way.
These boys are doing themselves and the Club proud and we wish them further fun and success as they battle to get into their respective Grand Finals. Good luck boys.
